The artist Julia E. Limpke captures children’s most beautiful moments in sketches and drawings. Since 1992, she has been working closely with Goebel Porzellan where her work is transformed with craftsmanship into loving figurines under the name Nina & Marco.
Mom, when I grow up, I will help children.” These words of her only son Marco touched Julia Limpke particularly deeply and therefore it became her greatest concern to realize this wish to help poor and needy children around the world. After the early death of son Marco, she drew and modeled child figures based on Marco, his sisters Nina, Pia, Lisa and his friends.
Nina and Marco and all their friends are much more than beautifully designed porcelain figurines to collect or give as gifts. By purchasing a figurine from the Nina and Marco Collection, you are also supporting educational projects for children in need, as a portion of the proceeds go directly to the SOS Kinderdörfer. To date, nearly 1.2 million euros could be made available.
